OR Factory Seamaster 300M

Recreating Modern Dive Watch Engineering Through Full-Mold Development

The OR Factory Seamaster 300M is developed as a structure-first, full-mold dive watch project, focusing on engineering logic rather than superficial resemblance.
Unlike common replica updates that rely on modified components, this series was developed over three and a half years, with nearly all core parts redesigned according to the latest boutique specifications.

The objective is not visual similarity alone, but a coherent structural recreation aligned with the modern design philosophy of the Omega Seamaster 300M—covering case geometry, material selection, movement architecture, and long-term wearability.

1. Case, Bezel & Ceramic Dial Construction

The watch features a 42mm case crafted from imported 316L stainless steel, finished with fine, even brushing that balances durability and visual refinement.
The bezel is produced from high-density ceramic, with diving numerals filled using white enamel, maintaining clarity and definition during long-term use.

The dial is also made from polished ceramic and finished with laser-engraved wave patterns. Compared with traditional painted dials, this ceramic construction offers superior resistance to wear and fading, while delivering stronger depth and texture consistent with modern dive watch design.

2. Bracelet Engineering & Wearing System

The stainless steel bracelet is hand-finished link by link, with chamfered edges on the underside—an often overlooked detail that significantly improves wrist comfort.
In terms of structure and geometry, the bracelet is developed to be interchangeable with genuine specifications, ensuring proper fit and alignment.

A fluoro-rubber strap option is also available, offering a smooth yet substantial feel on the wrist. Both steel bracelet and rubber strap share the same lug interface, allowing quick and secure swapping without compromising stability.

3. Sapphire Crystal & Display Caseback

The front crystal is produced using the Verneuil (flame-fusion) method, achieving a Mohs hardness rating of 9 while maintaining excellent transparency and low distortion.
The sapphire display caseback features a wave-edged design, allowing a clear view of the movement’s operation and finishing.

4. Integrated 8800-Style Automatic Movement

At the core of the watch is an integrated 8800-style automatic movement, developed to mirror the original architecture and functional logic.
The movement provides approximately 55 hours of power reserve, suitable for daily wear and short periods off the wrist.

The automatic rotor uses a seven–ceramic-ball bearing system, offering smooth winding, high durability, and consistent long-term performance.
Selected movement components are structurally compatible with genuine parts, while the bridges and plates feature fish-scale (perlage-style) finishing, emphasizing engineering accuracy over decorative exaggeration.

OR Factory Seamaster 300M

Rather than relying on marketing language or short-term appeal, the OR Factory Seamaster 300M is built around structural correctness, material durability, and real-world wearability.
From case proportions and bracelet articulation to movement architecture and service logic, this series is designed as a tool watch intended to be worn and used over time.

For collectors who value engineering detail, comfort, and long-term stability, this represents a technically mature and well-defined dive watch solution.

FAQ | Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is this a full-mold development model?
Yes. Nearly all core components are newly developed based on current boutique specifications, rather than modified from older parts.

2. What is the case size?
The case measures 42mm, consistent with modern Seamaster 300M proportions.

3. What materials are used for the bezel and dial?
Both are ceramic. The bezel features enamel-filled numerals, while the dial uses a laser-engraved ceramic wave pattern.

4. How long is the power reserve?
Approximately 55 hours, in line with the 8800-style movement architecture.

5. Can the bracelet be swapped with other straps?
Yes. The steel bracelet and fluoro-rubber strap share the same lug structure and can be easily interchanged.

6. Is it suitable for daily wear?
Yes. With durable materials, a stable movement, and balanced ergonomics, it is well suited for long-term daily use.
